Yes, I took the pic yesterday, the motor is apparently just a 'shadow' of a Norton completely re-manufactured with modified combustion chambers casting thicknesses etc, and was claimed to make 100BHP. I found a Norton forum where they were pouring scorn on the claims with a link to the builders site which doesn't work anymore.
So I'm thinking the story was probably enhanced for the sale.

Never seen a Vincent sidecar before!

The bike I bought in 2001 when I moved to Shanghai, and the only one legal that time.
Paid <USD. 2.500 new, including local license plate.
Sold it 11 year later for ~USD. 6.000 back to the Shanghai Government in a licence-buy-back program, in their efforts to get these three-wheelers of the road, and due to a very favorable exchange rate development.

Default And the real ones

First track bike, used for several years on the Shanghai F-1 track.
Completely rebuilt 2001 GSX-R750, and finally too beautiful to trash ..
Lots of fun, then sold off to a friend.

An other one saved from the trash-bin.
Iconic in its own way, very comfortable grand-tourer, and looking stunning after all work done.

Perhaps the most loved one.
Hard to imagine for most ppl., but this one is deeeeep inside preferred over the Duc's or Honda.

Frankenstein when I bought her, but an original Bayliss Limited Edition.
Took lots of work to get her back, but she finally is a beauty to look and ride.

So enjoyable, that I bought an other 998S (I probable have the only two in the whole of China) which I converted into a track bike.
Marvelous on long winding tracks such as the F-1 circuit.

And to complete the stable, added the 2002 Superbike contender of the Ducati's, a Honda VTR1000 SP-2.
Incredible engineered bike, perhaps a bit too heavy, but loving it.

And no, I will try to limited the Jaguar to just one ... .

My 1997 Triumph Daytona in its original "Florida winter" trim.

Currently in its "Florida summer" trim now. I did the conversion with all new parts so I can switch trims on a whim.

I don't ride it as much as I should. Been spending my time in the XK8.

Sunday morning was gorgeous, so I drove the Vanden Plas a couple hundred miles south for an annual event.
The Jaguar performed flawlessly and I got to see some old friends. It was a good day.

This group was gathered around trying to figure out the hand shift, foot clutch operation; specifically why the clutch pedal was a "rocker" with front and rear pedal segments. I got to play old codger and 'splain it to them.

This outfit was cute as hell but realistically, a 13 - 15 hp 250cc BMW single had a tough job hauling itself around!

Japanese marques were well represented.

The pressed-steel framed Honda Dream models pictured are of the era when I first started messing around with motorcycles, circa 1959-60. They are later versions though. The very first 250 and 300 Dreams I saw had pressed steel handlebars and dry sump oiling systems (oil tank incorporated in the frame side cover).

Default After 25 years

Thanks retro, a whole bunch of fresh pics to add to my 20,000 strong screen saver.

Well after a strange day indeed,I finally got to ride a motorcycle inside the house. Bonneville in the way , I was surprised when her indoors said move it inside so you can move the cars around.
But she did make it clear it was a one off, so I made the most of it and rode it around the pool table filling the house with CO2. Gotta love that burnt fuel smell ah guys.
Jeep has a dead battery(new one tomorrow), Jazz just didn't want to play the starting game so I left it alone and the XJ6 didn't fail to proceed because it hadn't gone anywhere yet, but just had the dreaded "click" when turning the key. Anyway a few wriggles of wires and we were off, should have tried 6 hours earlier rather than jumping the Jeep with a friends Mazda.

Please add nice bike pictures .-dsc_2161.jpgPlease add nice bike pictures .-dsc_2162.jpg

Whenever I'm anticipating a major bench racing, lie telling session I just put a small frying pan on low heat, add a splash of Castrol R (the real "bean oil") and there ya go.
Just like being at the track, and easily adds 20 mph to whatever lie you're tellin'!

When I was a young hooligan we often used to put a splash of R in the petrol just to get the smell.

I realize this thread is in the "photography" category, and I keep coming up with crappy scans of even crappier old Brownie Hawkeye era pics, but hey ... this is the way it was.
