After I got my new to me 2005 S Type R home from the dealership I noticed that the tabs that hold the top of the air cleaner assembly in place were broken. I am fighting with the dealership to get them to get me a new part (it is certified pre owned) but I am not holding my breath. If anyone has a used one let me know what its worth.

 

That should not be a fight! They should make it good especially since it is a Jaguar Select covered car. If you are in the U.S., you have 3 days to back out of that contract. They should be all over you to get it replaced.

 

Unfortunately I work a ton of hours and did not notice the problem until after a week or so. I repaired the broken tabs but it bugs me and I would like to have a new one. I am waiting to hear back from the sales manager of the dealership I bought it from to see what they will do. The part new is over 300 dollars because Jag only sells the complete air box. I have tried several Jag parts distributors with no luck.
