Dealer recently inspected my barn-find 2005 4.2L XK8 Convertible with 83,500 miles. Among other things, they told me that one of my two motor mounts was shot and they would love to replace it for only $955. They said the other mount would never need replacing.


I bought 2 new URO mounts elsewhere and had my trusted local AAMCO shop replace both mounts for $120 labor. I thought it might be a smart thing to go ahead and replace both as it only took a couple of minutes more to do it while they had the engine jacked up. The dealer was right about one thing; the 2nd motor mount still looks like new. Anybody interested? $25 plus actual cost for shipping in Continental US (or swing by and pick it up if you're in town).
