FS[MidWest]: RARE XJS with 5speed manual
1994 (built 3/94) Jaguar XJS conv, 2+2, 4.0l, with 5 speed manual gear box, and 16" original option wheels. 59K miles Flamenco Red with Barley interior.
Runs well and is very different to drive compared to auto (I have both).
Needs work on AC and cruise control. Not sure what, but they don't work.
Original VIN SAJNX2789RC193528, but now also has a Michigan Assembled Vehicle VIN.
Decided to try wasting my money on a boat instead of cars.
$ 10K

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I live in a remote area and my internet satellite was having problems.
A Michigan Assembled vehicle was not a wrecked or salvaged vehicle, but could be a few different things. Details are listed in Secretary Of State under Assembled vehicle.
I believe the one that applies to this car is:
3.One which has had its body replaced with that from another vehicle.

So is this version reconstructed, i.e. was the body swap done after it left the factory (or possibly the OEM's possession)
or
Is it related to the factory (or the OEM) building a manual transmission vehicle as a test to see if the market would accept it (just a bookkeeping entry).

It would probably be best if the OP would post the vin for the car ,then anyone interested could do a carfax and if said car has been involved in accident or flood vehicle or any other occurrence with insurance payout serious enough to warrant re-branding by state of Michigan it will show up in report.
