Not to be a snob but "leather like" equals "plastic". Had my fill of that in the 70s and 80s and all that crap BMW and Mercedes pushes off on people in their cars.

hey those covers actually look pretty solid but you might run into some fitment issues because jaguar did a major facelift on the xjs around 1991 that changed the seat contours and some of the internal hardware compared to the 1990 models while the basic frame looks similar the bolsters and stitching patterns on the 1991 to 1996 versions were updated to be more modern and comfortable

it is usually safer to find a set specifically labeled for the pre-facelift years if you want that perfect custom look without any loose fabric bunching up at the corners i had a similar headache when i was trying to find a high quality protector for my daily driver and a close buddy of mine went through the same thing while researching different bmw x3 car cover options before he finally found one that fit his specific trim level

The pic doesn't even show an XJS!

The seating in the XJS changes dramatically between 1991 and 1996....so I would basically stay away from this. Far away.

Search the forums here and you'll find recommendations from multiple vendors at different price points. There is really no reason to gamble on this at all.

The more modern looking 'Recaro' style seat chnage actually happened a bit earlier, around 1988.

As the OP asked the question 10 years ago and hasn't posted for over 8 years, one assumes he doesn't even own an XJS any more.

Probably not. Had an H&E starting in '10 for a couple of years. Sold my highly modified '63 Riv in '21 and looked for a long time for a decent deal on my current XJS's. Miss the Riviera a lot as I had it for nearly 30 yrs and had a lot of time in it although it looked completely stock. But back with the XJS's now. Have had several other Jags in between.
