For Sale: Jaguar XJR-15
I have enjoyed the XJR-15 for the last couple of years but sadly it now needs to go to make room for a new acquisition:
Same designer as the McLaren F1, Peter Stevens. First full CF tub road car.
Extremely rare Jaguar XJR-15 manufactured in 1991. As investment grade supercars go, this one ticks all the right boxes. The XJR-15 was the first road car with a carbonfibre tub, it shared the same designer as the McLaren F1, they were raced in the $1 million Intercontinental Challenge alongside several F1 races in 1991, produced in very low numbers, and a retail price of £500,000 in 1991 making it the most expensive road car of its day. After years outside of the public eye due to the low production numbers and almost all cars disappearing into private collections, XJR-15s are now gaining a much wider following as they re-emerge onto the public stage. As a result of this prices have started to increase rapidly. The car on offer is Chassis number 50 of 50, the last one built and is currently showing 1100 miles on the odometer. Held in a private collection for most of the past decade, it was recommisioned for road use in 2010 and used regularly since. New tyres in 2010 and new fuel cell installed with full service in 2011. Overall excellent condition. It is the much sought after road version with a 5 speed syncro gearbox (a $75,000 option).
Please PM me for more details.
Asking Price: GBP 249,000
