Jagtech,
I was able to locate a security module here locally and it did fix my problem of the trunk release button in the car not working along with the trunk button not working, but I needed to find out how you reprogram the remote for the car. Now the door locks dont work and the remote doesnt do anything. The part numbers were the same. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks again.

Here's my suggestion:
Please contact your selling merchant for technical supporton proper installation and use of the item you purchased.
This is a tad humerous, and it speaks to the issue about the guy who got all pissed off when he couldn't get a local shop to provide a free diagnosis of his car when he called them.
In response to your "wanted" advertisement, Ichecked my inventory, dug throughthe donorcar to acquire the VCATS code, researched current newlist pricing and availability, established an equitable sale price (at far lower than the last identical item I sold), and wrote you a very long and detailed email about how to properly identify and obtain the correct module for your car.
For that, I did not receive a reply, a thanks, a counter offer to match price, a sale,or afree pizza. I get a personalrequest for morefree advice. That smells like alot of things, and disrespect is high on the list. Right back at you.
A customer could drive into my shop tomorrow who needs a $750 component, and be a tad dismayed when he hears the price and the news that Jaguar cannot supply the part. He will gleefully (and respectfully) thank me when I produce a replacement at 40% of the cost, and leaves with all related systems on his car working properly. That smells almost as good as....pizza. That's my program.

WOW. I am sorry that I posted a question....a question that literally 5 minutes later I figured out on my own. Problem solved and fixed and for only $75. I am sorry that I am NOT working with the typical Jaguar owner budget, but I only paid $2100 for this car. Just like the "Jag" dealer wanting $468 to replace an idler pulley and a tensioner pulley that had bad bearings that I fixed for less than $80 including a new belt. I wont put much into it for that reason. Just a daily beater....but I do appreciate your initial email, and am sorry that you decided to judge on your own assumptions.
