Default New Video...Spark plugs...FAQ

Well got some request on how to do spark plugs. I ended up doing mine last weekend so I made a new video. I put some text for some fixes and there is a tool break down at the end. Also I didnt like how tight the plug was feeling when I was trying to torque them at 20ft/lbs so I backed it up to about 17ft/lbs but in the video I'll say 20. Also I put it in the video but plug gap is .040 but I kept saying .40 for some reason. So hopefully this will help some of you guys see that the plugs really arent that bad. I only filmed the hardest one on both sides and some tips and any snags I ran in too. Hope you guys enjoy.

Sorry about the background noise. I didnt realize my camera picked up noise that good and I had the tv going so I could watch tv while I work.

Hey Vance, just spent the last 20 odd minutes watching your vids even though I know how to change a spark plug....lol
Another great video write up and another one for the FAQ's for sure.

I'm sure one of the mods will be along and this will be added to the relevant FAQ setup.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this Vance.....I'm sure this'll be viewed by so many and help others as it was intended.
keep em coming

No problem. First time messing with the tripod so the next one I wont have it pointing at my head so much. LOL. Just glad I got a garage to work in now and I'm not trying to work on rocks and film with no tripod now got a much better setup now. I just wish it didnt take so long to upload videos. I try to keep them in HD so they are pretty good size files to upload but I dont want them to get to grainy where you arent able to see. Just hope it helps people to put visuals with how-to.

Excellent video especially on how to correctly gap a plug. Too many people use the flat feeler gauges which give inaccurate results as well as potentially damaging the electrode.

Thanks. Yea I saw Joels car when I did that one coil and saw how bad that is. I can see why some people may be intimidated by the 3.0 job.

Thank you. I actually had the circle one from years ago and I was gonna show it and say to not use it but I couldnt find it so I must of thrown it out.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I try to help however I can. I'm doing a project right now on the complexity of repairing vehicles of today compared to vehicles of the past so I may actually use my videos for my school project.
