Default 00 Jag s type(V-6,91k)

Hi,
I had an issue with the car basically buckling when driving anywhere between 80-110km/hr. The check engine sign was coming up ocassionally and accompanied by a pungent smell in the interior cabin. FJT thanks for the tip, I did get it checked at it was a cylinder-6 misfire diagnosis. So i got my mechanic to get the plugs changed. Got it done finally after 3 hrs cost me about $220(parts& labor) he also switched the plug 6 to 4. This solved the problem and it ran smooth and I also noticed better fuel economy. ButI still get a slight buckle going from 80-100k/hr. The car is not smooth in idle it tends to stutter a bit. This weekI noticed it is eating up more fuel.I also had a recent motor oil/filter/air filter and rear diff oil change done. Can someone advise, FJT if you are around I would appreciate it.
Cheers.

If he had the intake off to do the plugs, he should have changed the lower breather hose.
Have him spray intake cleaner under the rear right side of intake. If lower hose is split, would make rpm change at idle when sprayed.
Also could be a coil problem. Have your mechanic check the coils.
