02 Vacuum Problem
I have an 02 Jag s-type and where i live lets just say that not many mechanics will touch the thing. (there is only 1 person that might is qualified with in a 50 mile radius) So i have an vacuum leak and i didnt have to run any codes. I know this because the hose above the evap service port is melted in 2. i have been crawling all over the engine looking for the other half. Can someone help me by telling me where this hose is run 2. A diagram would be extremely helpful.
You need to list what motor you have. Here is a link to an 05 3.0 Stype vacuum line diagram. Not sure if the 02 3.0 is different any and thats if you even have a 3.0.

tennesse in the above link vance850 posted the 2002 and earlier models have the rubber elbow, besure to check that link out, KNOWN FAILURE!!!! The unfortunite part is the intake manifold has got to be removed to even see let alone test them.

I believe that the following pictures will go from MY (Model Year) 2003 on up. There seems to be some confusion with 2 vacuum elbows located under the lower intake manifold. I believe these 2 elbows are on MY 2002 and older, these are a known failure. Heres a link to replace them: 2000 3.0 S-Type Vacuum Leak <--THANK YOU GUS!!
the hose that is in question is the above the green service port. again this an 02 stype sport 3.0l v6. It appears to go to the back side of the engin block, the issue i have is i cant find where it goes. if you need anyother info let me know and i thank everyone for their help.

Gotcha good info.
Now that we know what engine Tennessee has he should be in good hands. We will call it Rickstate instead of All-state.
