That is good! Did you have an issue mounting the heat shield? I had to bend the bracket a bit to get it to work.

 

I had to bend it just a little. My biggest problem was getting the MAFS to seat in the new tubing. The hole drilled in the tube was just a bit too small and I really had to work the sensor into the hole and be careful not to tear the o-ring. I think that it would cause some issues if the o-ring is torn or the sensor isn't seated all the way in.

 

awesome news! (disclaimer I am less than sober). Mina galleries newest intake arrived in the mail today. much better in terms of heat shield. This one seals with the bonnet and the frame on the bottom. Supper pleased with Mina's customer service btw.

While installing I noticed the maf sensor was askew. Turns out my mechanic used a screw that was just slightly too large and it lifted the MAF sensor up ever so slightly, causing a leak. Installed the new (free) intake and this time with the MAF sensor seated properly, the check engine light hasn't come on in over 24 hours (4 or 5 on off cycles)! I think its fixed!!!

I am so happy right now! I forgot how hard this thing pulls!
