drove my str to work and back just fine earlier in the day but later on when i started it up to go to the store i got the "restricted performance" message as well as a check engine light.
plugged in my scanner and gave me PO327 which i'm pretty sure is knock sensor bank one, i cleared the code but it came back on so drove the car around for about 10 minutes then came home and cleared the code again but still got the same message and the check engine light came back on when i turned off and restarted the car
car has 152k miles but a new crate engine was put in about 20k miles ago, nothing wrong with the old one but the previous owner was somebody big at his jaguar dealership so he had the swap done pretty much for free, car had oil changes and other servicing about every 3k miles on old and new engine at his dealership, i have all the paperwork so i know it's true
i don't run the car hard and keep up with all the servicing still i guess i just want to know where the bank one knock sensor is on the 4.2 supercharged and what i would need to remove to get to it.
also carparts com has the sensor for about $30 and autozone for around $100 will the carparts one be reliable or should i just go with the autozone one, thank you all in advance

 

Underneath the supercharger. It has to come off. I would stick to oem sensors
