The tire shop called about my new acquistion..the rear wheel was cracked and patch welded. Is there any source for a 2003 STR rear alloy wheel?

Phil, Google: AutoPartsFair They sell new 03 STR wheels for $111/each.

 

I tried buying from them before but they never had any in stock. I'll check again today.

 

You can order a nice used wheel from Coventry West or Jaguar Heaven. Try Coventry West first.

 

Just called and verified that they do not have any and haven't had any for quite a long time.

 

I ordered my 19" Barceloma rim from Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com since they seem to not have it in stock but within 2 days got it and getting ship as we speak, plus there an authorized dealer. Plus they gave me a $25 off my purchase.

I found the fronts on Ebay and contacted AllFactory Wheels. Theyfound ( some where) the rear I needed and expect to deliver tomorrow. But it wasnt cheap, now for that clever fix of the droopy headlamps from the Forum, a full service and she is ready for a club drive to a local flyin this weekend. More to do but this should be a great start.
