Default 2000 s series overheating

No obvious water leaks and no water in oil, what can cause it to overheat.

A myriad of things, maybe some more background info as to what happened and is it a V6 or a V8.
Be careful these engines don't like being toasted.
Also we like new members to post an intro in the new members section. :-)

System needs flushing out. T-stat. Expansion tank cracked. Coolant tank cap gone bad. From there it gets worse but this stuff is easy. On one this age, I would start with T-stat and a flush and refill first.
