Any help would be appreciated - because the service dept at the dealership cannot figure this out...

own 2000 s type - low mileage and is used once or twice a week for short trips only.

will sporadically not start (but the car has full power). appears as though the security system shuts the ignition down. has been happening for 1 year and usually when the trunk has been opened and closed and then car locked and then unlocked. the dealership did fix a short in the wiring to the trunk release button and then the problem started. the service manager had the car for 6 weeks and could only re-create once. replaced fuses to no avail....
