Default 2000 s type no heat after changing upper hose?? air lock possibly?

wondering hot to bleed the coolant system or if it even can be done ont his. i cahnged upper hose asembly and now no heat, i left cap off reservoir and ran till warm, revved it and topped up and so on but to no avail? please help. I have always fixed my own problems and have a mechanic backgrouns but these jags are a whole new ballgame for me.
