I have a wonderful 2000 S type 3.0 that I love. It drives great. It was recently in a very small incident and now it's a little difficult to get into drive. Don't get me wrong, it moves easily but sometimes I have to use the left side of the J and then put it in in D. It doesn't slip or anything and it runs smoothly, please advise. Could the linkage be messed up ?

 

I think you should first check the trany oil level. Also have you ever changed the oil. If its level is too low it can be quite troublesome. You say it was in an accident- which part of the vehicle was hit and damaged?

 

It had light damage to the front bumper and grill. It may be unrelated it seemed to happen at the same time. It has 120,000 miles on it with that sealed transmission so it's probably time.
