Hello,

Transmission rebuilt and installed.
Now re-installing starter motor.

All 3 bolts back in nicely, but may have missed a step....?

JTIS mentions a harness connector on 2nd bolt, the 3rd bolt clearly ties to the ground cable.

Please see image. Does something hook into that second bolt in picture.

Cannot remember.

2002 S type: 4.0 Jaguar........just went out to start and it - JustAnswer

So once Ground connector is removed:

"Remove the harness retaining bracket"

Please forgive me if i'm going crazy - we do not recall seeing this "bracket" unless a rodent has eaten it whilst on the ramps...

Help.

 

Maybe someone left it off in the past.

Just make sure all your cables are secure and not rubbing or touching on hot sections, use a cable tie if you need to.
