Default 2001 Jaguar S-type Ball Joint Assembly

I need new ball joints on the front end of my car, the mechanic said the right is worse than the left, but you should replace both and that the best deal he could find was the whole assembly for about $350. so I am trying to find the best deal...

Do they sell this assembly w/ both ball joints?

Any control arms included/necessary?

How long would changing just the ball joints last?

Also I am looking for a fender/ wheel well shield, damn thing fell off...

You’re in luck! Since you have the early S type it shares the lower ball joints with the Lincoln LS. These ball joints are all over EBay and can be pressed in so you don't have to change the entire control arm. The control arm will need to be removed and taken to a shop that has a press but the ball joints are about $60 each. Big savings!

Still waiting for them to come out with the ball joints for the later S Types with the redesigned suspension!!
