I have a 2001 S-Type 3.0. My rear seat cupholders broke and I purchased replacements but cannot get the old ones out. I thought once you popped the cover off it would be easy to slide them out and put the new ones in, but they are stuck. Can anyone tell me the proper way to remove the old ones and install the new ones. I did a search and did not see that this was explained and cannot find by googling. Thanks.

 

I have tried to remove them and still cannot do it. I have broken many pieces of of them and I still cannot get them out. I cannot believe it is supposed to be this difficult. How do the junkyard people get them out in tact? If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

 

I have the same issue with my 2005 S Type. I cannot determine how to remove the dual cup holder in the center of the rear seat. Rather than creating a new thread, I thought I would resurrect this one in an attempt to get the solution and hopefully a diagram or two.
