2003 S Type 3.0 Replacing Front Struts
I have a 2003 S Type 3.0 and I am replacing the front Struts. My question is do I have to unbolt the Upper Control Arm "A" arm bolt and/or the Stabilizer link below to swing the Strut assembly out. Or can I just unbolt the lower Strut Torx bolt and the 4 upper nuts and snake the Strut assembly out. Just don't want to do more work then I have to here.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
You can follow the procedure outlined in the JTIS, which is a download from the 'sticky' section on the forum, or you can purchase the Workshop Manual from other online vendors.
The strut assembly can be removed without removing the upper control arm ball joint from the upright if the sway bar link is removed first. If the vehicle has the CATS system, remember to disconnect the wiring at the loom connector prior to removing the upper mounting nuts.
