I'm wanting todo a bunch of mods to my S Type and wanting to know if anyone has had any luck with installing a keyless entry system to their s type. I'm looking to install a system where you have the start button and also the Auto Unlock when you're near the car.

Also added question. I currently have the non satnav variant and I'd like to add the satnav into my s type. Is it a simple swap out or do I have to do a bunch of wiring?

hi I have gotten so far with a keyless entry remote push button start for my 2004 s type 4.2
i can start engine via remote control or with the push button start
Car runs perfectly
I have got car to lock as I walk away
the problem i am struggling with is auto unlock

I can get car to auto unlock but if a passenger opens a door the alarm will trigger
Or when I open driver's door alarm will start to do the beeping and I have to push the start button

I am thinking about trying to disable the alarm to the horn
But not sure if it can be done
So at the moment I am using factory remote to unlock only

I have also installed transponder chip in push button remote

Blue light is on acc1 acc2
green light engine running
