My wife's '05 failed to start like she had the shifter in "D". Moving it around the gate, it fired up but wouldn't pull out of Park. Shut it down, then it won't go into Park again, but the indicator light stays in "N".

Trying to force it into Park wasn't going to work, we just left it for a tow to the dealer.

So... we have an extended warranty to 100k, praying that it's covered.

I -did- do a search but no luck. I'm hoping its something like a shift gate sensor that cost $10 to install. Nothing's easy on this car.

I hate intro posts bellyaching about something... but there we are, eh?
