Hi,

My s type is blowing hot air on the driver side (right hand drive) and I have search the forum and have seen quite a few thread on similar problem.

Since my country has no winter, can I just disable the heater which I think would solve the problem or will this cause any side effect?

Appreciate any advise on this.

I can't see why you couldn't do that.
You should probably check the climate control module to make sure it is functioning properly as it is often a casualty
of a failed valve.

 

Ditto to Norri. The dual climate control valve (DCCV, under hood) often fails, in turn shorting out the climate control module (CCM, attached to rear of climate control console). The DCCV can be purchased for $80 and the CCM can be repaired for $120 or replaced for $1200.

Thanks for all the input. The mechanic said he by-passed the heater and now I have cold air on both side. Happy now.
