Default 2005 S-Type 2.7D DTC "U3087"

2005 S-Type 2.7D with DTC "U3087" There are no warning lights, Starts first time, Tickover is smooth hot or cold, Cold everything is fine as the engine gets hot then light acceleration around 2000rpm
is lumpy.Harder acceleration is smooth, fuel economy is OK there is no smoke. Injector offsets all between 950 and 1150 hot.Only other DTC refers to a part of the A/C that is
no longer fitted to these cars. This is is a pre DPF car. Car has 220KKms, Belts changed 60KKms ago. Battery (6 mths old ) connections remade eliminated intermittent park brake problem and Flashed PB and ABS fault during starting. (Starting prior to Injector replacement took 2 tries) This U3087 DTC has always been there as has the misfire sort of problem since I bought the car 18 months ago.
Any Ideas anyone?

I should add that the PB prob and Ignition key prob all resolved. A/C compressor next month all being well.

I should add that after clearing the U3087. Turning off and turning ignition on without starting brings it back again. There is only one other DTC, B1676 which refers to a non existent part in the climate control system and is always present. Does no-one else get this U3087 DTC?

Is the Check Engine Light illuminated? I'm not finding any info for that code. The U prefix is typically for non-emissions systems, such as climate control, braking, security, etc. Until somebody else can chime in with a more definitive answer, I'm thinking that code is not related to the slight misfire you're experiencing.

Any chance you've feeling a slight shudder from the transmission, as opposed to imbalanced power from the engine?

Thanks Karl
No warning Lights, last year someone posted that it had something to do with the injector imbalance that I had. But that is now resolved along with the other problems. As I said, I can clear it but the moment I turn on the ignition it is back again along with B1676. This must mean that all 2004/5 S-types must have this problem. I have noticed recently from cold (12C) there is a sound which seems to come from the LHS depending on rpm this only lasts about 2 minutes sounds like a blower in the heater. Turbos are fine. Have checked everything on the Icarsoft 930 and all readings are OK.
As for the slight judder, It starts at about 50C engine temp on light throttle, as it gets hotter it gets worse, gear changes are normal after the first minute or so of driving, changing to sport mode make no difference. It looks increasingly like a transmission problem. I have no coolant or other loss. I think I will try emptying out a litre of ATF and replacing with a new litre and see if there is any difference.

Our membership is indeed world-wide, but tends to be concentrated in North America. No S-type oil burners were ever marketed here, so Stanboy's suggestion is a good one. I belong to both forums and there are a number of diesel owners on the GB forum who are very helpful.
