I had only driven my S-Type for a few days when I opened the right rear window, heard a crunching noise, and the window dropped down never to reappear

With the advice I already found in this forum, I dismantled the door and removed the offending regulator and taped the window up.

There were bits of plastic that may indicate the original culprit, but more importantly the cable is tightly axle-wrapped around the motor wheel -- definitely not worth repairing.

I understand that the post-2003 models cannot use the Lincoln LS regulator, but I do see mentions of items on ebay and amazon. I know that I could be thinking of getting the original part, but that just seems inordinately expensive.

However, when I look on Amazon and Ebay, I can see a few new lefties, but no new righties.

Does anyone here have any hidden sources of right rear regulators they'd be willing to share, or do I just need to hang tight and be patient and hope that shortages of righties are addressed?

And any other advice on the topic will be gratefully received...
