Default 2005 S-Type 4.2 Sport mods

I have seen alot of threads on S-Type R modifications but not alot for the S-Type 4.2 v8 that is not supercharged. So, first of all, this is not the supercharged version. If anyone knows any modifications that can increase horsepower/torque that would preferably decrease the 0-60 time it would be much appreciated. I LOVE the car but was just wondering if there was anything I could do to make the 0-60 a little faster. Thanks in advance

Well all the standard stuff?

Exhaust, intake, tune. It most likely will make only a small difference but some guys like a loud exhaust and the V-8 does sound great uncorked. It just doesn't sound like a Jaguar anymore!

Where could one find a ECU tuning flash for this car? (if you meant this by "tune")

In a word, you can't. There are no true performance enhancements that I'm aware of, probably because all the performance attention was focused on the STR.

Really about all you can do is appearance things like changing wheels, lowering the suspension, or fooling with the exhaust. But not sure that any of them would have a real "performance" difference.

Sorry, but it's not that kind of car.

Rather, it's a "class" car, meant to motor sedately down the road, but with true V8 punch for when you wanted to separate yourself from all the pretenders.

Enjoy the ride, and try not to lord it over all the peons too obviously...

+1 on the above.

The electronics changed quite a bit in the 2006 MY and in the research I did all but one major tuning company told me that they could tune the ECU in 2006 on wards Jaguars but had stopped doing tunes on prior year models.

The one that said they could tune my ECU told me they reckoned on a 50/50 chance of success!!!

Cambo I think can tune a NA 2005 MY. I know he can a SC 2005 MY but even he says the gains are minimal on that MY.
