2006 S Type front suspension ball joints
Hi, Just joined this forum and my first Jaguar.
Noticed a potential issue with my 2006 S Type front suspension top ball joints. I have noticed a bit of rubber squished out on both ball joints.
There is no physical wobble but I am thinking of replacing them anyway. Do you have to replace the control arm itself or can you buy ball joints that press in to the strut?
I dont have a press to put new ones in, so is it possible to buy refurbished control arms with the ball joint and two bushes renewed? Thanks for your help.
I live in New Zealand and Jaguar parts are a premium over here, so looking for options.

You may find something similar nearer home if the ball joint is saveable.
Ball joint not press in, replaceable so far as I know, arms can be expensive.

Welsh Enterprises (in Ohio) sells a good quality, very affordable set of front upper control arms for these cars. Wayne (cjd777) and I just installed a new pair on my 2005 S-Type less than a month ago. Not sure what the shipping costs would be for you but they may be worth looking into....
