Good evening. Everytime I close my sunroof.....the wind deflector makes a kinda loud noise when it snaps down into position....Is this normal as I have only had the car for 1 week.

I guess it depends on how you define "loud". Our wind deflector makes more of a "click" type of noise when it drops into position. But due to the terrible harmonic distortion that occurs inside the cabin whenever our moonroof is fully open at speeds above 30 mph, we almost never open it. Not long after we purchased the car last December, I looked into those smoke-colored kevlar-type aftermarket deflectors that mount on the roof, but the aesthetics are not very good at all and would really detract from the look of the car. So our answer is just to keep the moonroof closed....

 

It does make a noise. I used some spray white Lithium grease on the sunroof tracks. Make sure and get it in the spiral screw mechanism so that is lubricated along with the slides. I got to it from the top of the car.

I don't think the roof goes that fast, if it did it would certainly thump closed :-)
