Its time to replace both front upper control arms next week. The ball joints have play in them. All the other joints and bushes are tight when tested with a very large pry bar
It looks like a straight forward job looking at the workshop manual, perhaps an hour or so a side. I'm going to replace the outer tie rods at the same time.
Do any of the Lincoln LS upper control arms fit the 2006 S -Type ? Some sites cross reference the LS and S-Type control arms up to 2003 others up to 2006. I can get Ford OEM LS control arms for less than the cost of the after market Lemforder control arms, although these look OEM to me. I'm using the Lemforder outer tie rod ends, they were only $55 each on Amazon.
