Default Abs

Hello, I took my 02 Sport to the car wash. When driving home I noticed the computor said traction control fault, then the break light and ABS light came on. The next morning thay were all clearsd when I started and later in the day came back on. This AM it only shows the ABS warning light. Is this something I should worry about and what caused this to happen? Any sugestions would be appreciated as I am over an hours drive from any Jag dealership.

You did not say if you did this but a bit of advice. DO NOT WASH THE ENGINE!!!!!

If you are worried go get the codes read at any auto parts store. The OBDII connector is to the right of your steering wheel under the dash. Be sure and get the code numbers exactly as they are displayed on the reader. Look over the guys shoulder or you look at the reader itself.

I strongly second that. Spraying water into the engine bay of these complex cars can wreak havoc on the electronics modules. It can cause everything from "limp home mode" to various trouble codes being thrown. I NEVER allow any water into my engine bay. If I need to clean up underneath the hood, I use only a little silicone spray on an old towel and plenty of elbow grease. That approach has worked for me thus far....

Good advice on how to clean the engine bay if you must. After several different late model cars I just don't even mess with cleaning anything under the hood. The modern engines don't leak or seep oil very much so it's mainly road dust and dirt.
