Default AC Blowing Hot / Release Radiator Cap

I've been dealing with the typical AC blowing hot on one side problem and discovered by opening my radiator reservoir cap while the engine is running it will start blowing cold again. I'm not sure if it is a radiator pressure related problem or do I need to replace my DCCV and DCCM again.

CAUTION: DO NOT DO THIS WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING.

This is just a guess.... When the DCCV fails it lets hot coolant flow into the heater core, causing hot air to come out the vents...right?? Taking the cap off disrupts the pressure allowing the cool air to overpower any residual heat in the core..

My guess is that your DCCV has failed again.

Yes all I did was open the cap and close it while the engine was on idle. The AC system started to work fine after that. Your probably right about the DCCV and I'm not sure what's causing it to fail, but this seems to remedy the problem temporarily so that one does not have to roast.
