Tom, I am deleting the "copy and paste" from another popular diy site, in your last 2 posts to this thread. They only add to the confusion.

In the previous photos of the 2 compressors side by side. The compressor with the black panel is an "old" style compressor according to Brutal. There is a TSB out about that "type" of compressor that was put on the 3.0 S Types and some X Types.

According to the PDF you can remove the "micro filter" cleaning then reinstall backwards, vacuum down system and charge.

The picture of the "new" comressor does not contain the plunge valve or micro filter.

My question is did you use the black valve cover on the new one? I looked at a number online and they all seem to have that cover on them. FYI, if you want to buy the compressor from a dealer it is a special order and cost - are you ready?--$1,035.

I have attached the file in question as a pdf and that I assume will not get changed. AllData sounds like Microsoft.

Tom, I asked Rick the same question some time ago!

The new compressors don't have the valve or cover the recess in the casting is just a blank.
I bought a compressor from the same ebay seller as Rick, I'll check the name and PM you.

Norri is correct. You do not use the black cover plate on the "new" style compressors. If you look at the pictures, the new compressor is on the left and the micro filter and plunger valve holes are cast sealed.

The ebay link I have does not work any longer and I cannot remember the seller. I just looked on ebay but did not find an OEM new compressor.

edit: I found the ebay seller that Norri and I purchased from, lasolas2020

Contact them directly through ebay, they had some great pricing on OEM!
