Default After market heated seats?

I purchased a 2005 Jaguar S-Type with extremely low miles and in excellent condition. The car came from the south and doesn't have heated seats. Does anyone know if it is possible to add these after-market? Thank you!

Never tried these but I'm considering them down the road for my 89 XJ6. I miss having bun warmers lol

I forgot t o come back and add this last night and it might have no bearing on the question...

On the newer Land Rover Discoverys' all they needed was a activation kit essentially a relay harness and switch. The elements we're already in the seat. Seeing as how LR and Jag were owned by Ford and this was their practice you may be able to just get a activation kit or scrounge the parts needed from a Junk Yard to activate seat heater elements that are already in place. Food for thought as I don't know that this was done on the Jags.

Hi Reginald,

According to my local Jag dealer there is no factory approved after-market kit. There may be a company that does it, but you would have to check what is available in your area. Good luck,

Mike

Thanks ArmyJag, if those elements are there that would be great. I'll check it out, thanks for the suggestion about the activation kit. I was going to see if I could order the R+L heater control switches that fit in the console and just plug them in and run the wiring to the heating elements in the seats. There are kits out there that look pretty easy to install if the factory elements aren't already there. As for the power source, I'm not sure what to do there but will check out the installation instructions on an after market kit. I'm hopeful that the final installation will be indistinguishable from the heated seat option coming directly from the factory.

I've seen several aftermarket heated seat installs and they all had the switches mounted in the plastic seat trim usually near the seat movement controls. They aren't particularly difficult to install if you are handy with hog rings and upholstery.
