Default Air conditioner low on gas or bigger problem?

On car startup engage AC on touch screen and button lights red but no cold air! After 5-10 minutes drive AC miraculously activates and starts blowing very cold air-as per normal. Has done this 2-3 times now. Low on gas or more serious CCM or DCCV issues? Heat coming out okay and heat does drop when dialled down.
Thanks in advance.

No way to tell without hooking up the gauges. Maybe yes and maybe no.

Before you do that take a look at the compressor and make sure the bottom is not stained yellow or greenish yellow. It's fairly common for the compressor to leak and the first thing that comes out is the oil and it has a dye in it from the factory.

Has the DCCV been replaced? They pretty much fail 100% so it's just a matter of time.
