Another door lock question
When I unlock or lock 3 doors work but the right rear makes a humming / buzzing sound and doesn't lock or unlock.. I'm thinking this is the part I need...03 04 2005 2006 2007 2008 JAGUAR S TYPE S-TYPE RIGHT REAR DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR OEM
I should have had a "?" there.. Is that the part making the noise? "humming / buzzing sound and doesn't lock or unlock"

Here is the link that Zane made reference to above in post #2 and Jon seconded. You need a new lock actuator plain and simple. Learn from my semi expensive lesson. I purchased a used actuator for about half the price of a new one, it failed and I ended up purchasing a new actuator. The bitch is in replacing the actuator, it is the worst DIY on these vehicles I have done, bar none!

Wow....just WOW! (When you realize the DIY's Rick has posted, let alone probably many he's completed without putting up detailed how-to's with pics) Please note Rick has changed the oil pan sump gasket...ijs...
It's good to know this ahead .. Thanks Rick.. I think I'll live with the door as is.. When I lock it from the inside lever it locks and unlocks.. Just doesn't work auto.

Thanks Zane for the kind words above!
Somewhere in the thread I linked someone had mentioned that they did not remove the rear quarter window to replace the lock actuator. Although I did that R&R awhile ago I still don't believe that it is possible.
