Default AutoMagic seat...

Is there a way to set up the Auto Move seat and wheel so that when you take out the key just the wheel moves up n away, and the seat stay's put? I know how to turn it off, but I really like the steering wheel to move out of the way. The seat just goes so too far back.

Thx for the help

P.S. I did use search, but got 100s of results, and most were way off topic.

I don't think that's possible with them both being hooked up to the memory but since you don't want the seat moving in different positions/moving back too far you can just set your seat to how you want it and then unplug it and then when you insert & remove your key your steering wheel will be the only thing moving like you want hope this can help you out

I know you'll hate to hear this.... But call your dealer.. There are many settings that can be programmed, but there isn't a user interface. Ask them if what you want is a setting that they can program into the car.

Thx for the help. I like the unplug idea, but my wife would kill me. She sits like a 80yr old. And as far as the dealership, I don't hate the seat moving too far back that much. lol

I love this car, but there are so many little "quirks" that could have had a little more attention to detail and/or user friendly that would make this car a GREAT car...

Did not know about the dealer thing. What I find most irritating is that when I exit the car when its running in park, only the wheel moves up and the seat stays put. I have to manually move the seat back.

I agree... There are whole menus of things that I can adjust on the Chrysler with the push of a few buttons on the steering wheel. There are also hidden menus that are an assortment of diagnotic readings as well. Pretty neat.

Yea, there are a bunch of "customer preference" settings that the dealer can program through the diagnostic software. Not sure if a dealer would even charge for that, but wouldn't know without asking.

True that I think its cool to be able to set the settings but I think the owner should be able to set those setings it'll just be weird going to the dealer everytime you want a new setting for yourself

Yup, totally agree.. There were quite a few things I could adjust, if I recall, via the touch screen on the XF loaner I had.. So, looks like Jaguar fixed that...

I think you can goto the courtesy stalk, and set in the middle for all adjust, away for steering wheel only towards you for pedals only.
