In an effort to redeem myself as well as respond to my stubborn streak, I bought another Jaguar S-Type. This time, hopefully, my due diligence was a tad better and the shiny Black 2003 STR is in better condition than my prevous Jag. This one-owner came with maintenance records, no visible leaks, no "warning" lights and everything working as it should. She still has a lot of miles (95k) but the owner seemed dedicated and had moved up to a newer model. I even had a shop do a cursory check before parting with my cash. I'm sure something will need attention but for now I'm just enjoying the power and handling over my previous "S" 4.2.
