Docuzzie, "If U have to ask then U can't afford it" kind of money...try almost $3000. If I were to do a full lenght header, go with the $700 "Stainless Works (LS Lincoln full length header). For a few grand more, I'd wait (pray) for a 200 hp twin screw blower upgrade.

Hello to you also. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you in person. I would say without question that the amount is clearly not remotely a challenge for me. I just like to know, that I can liquidate what is necessary to acquire the newest toy(s) to suit my taste as they become available.

Like yourself, I am interested in the twin screw also. I recently purchased another STR that I have one to preserve while the other is my tinker toy. I am incapable of performing the mods myself, but am willing to pay knowledgeable personnel the due just that I posess the best of the breed in all facets.

Doc, them were very purdy words describing your desire for the cream of the crop. G-d bless ya....

We are putting our feelers out to see how many members would be interested in a group buy on these headers.

Let us know your interest, and we are not into Mercedes, BMW or Jag tax if you know what we mean. If these headers cost $1000 to make, we would list them for sale WAY under $2000. The fact of the matter is, they are extremely expensive to make when you factor in the extensive labor, materials and part of the manufacturing has to be sent outside of the shop. There is just not alot of wiggle room.

With that been said, the retail cost of these are +/- $2600 for anyone off the street. If we do a group buy, we would need at least 10 people to commit, and we could do $2300. The full job would be complete in 1 month, packaged and shipped out in order of payment.

We already have a donor car that has agreed to lend us his car in order to get these fabbed and built, so that would not be a problem.

That is one of the things that suck about having such a unique car. Less aftermarket support means less choices, and those choices being more expensive. If we all had mustangs, we wouldn't know what to do with all the choices

Trust me Seth, Doc don't mess around. My man wants it, he makes it happen. I think the camera he had at the Jags & Vettes show in 2011 was probably 3x more $$ than these headers.

Be nice, maybe he'll buy us both a set for Christmas!

LOL. Chris, In my original post I was trying to explain to Doc that IMO the headers were pricey for many here, not for him per se. BIP will do $2300 for a group buy...personally, I'd enjoy and appreciate it for Doc to help me with a pair.

Nice, by saying commit i hope you meen pay first. Having done several group buys with other products. Money talks b.s. Walks lots of people say do it ill buy it. You do it and.......hello. Is there anybody out there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at all.....
Many times i buy things and dont have time to wait for a group buy to get together. They can be hellish. other times its the only way to get a product produced and to market
NICE QUALITY FROM THE PICS

The craftsmanship does look pretty dang good on those puppies. Like em!

The only thing about headers is the heat. Hopefully the factory shields are up to snuff, and any other parts in the general area that were not protected are now(?). With the looks of this install & quality of parts, I'd be confident that the intallers did take that into consideration.

Header wraps have pros/cons - I wrapped my stainless Borla header on my Jeep more to help keep my toes from frying on the floorpan (no carpet and the thermo mats still were not keeping it cool enough) than anything else, but I'd rather not wrap if i didn't have to do so.

So here are the results with the cats installed, not bad. Minimal loss in power at redline, lost a few in torque under 3K rpm. Any questions please ask. Not bad with 200 cell cats.

close enough to play with the tune if you have cats to get more power.
