Can a leaking vacuum hose damage the catalytic converter?

Hello all, im new to this forum. I have a problem with my 2000 S-type. Is it possible for a leaking vacuum hose to damage the catalytic converter? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

A leaking vacuum hose will make an engine run lean. You'd have to run the car like that for a loooong time to kill a cat.
