'03 s-type. I tried opening my rear driver side door last night and heard something pop or snap. I think the latch or maybe a cable connecting the handle to the latch broke. And with the door closed, I don't think I can remove the door panel. So umm, how do I fix this?!

 

It is possible to remove door card with rear door closed. Sorry you will have to search that one.

Search for Grant's door lock thread...I think he figured out how to remove it with door shut.

 

After reviewing the links, this appears to be well worth whatever a non-dealership shop would charge to repair.
