Carpet cleaning and electronic?
My recently purchased 03 s type USA model, has some nasty carpet. Its extremely soiled but in good shape over all. I'm curious if there are any electronic modules under the carpet that do not need to get wet. I am considering pulling out the carpet to shampoo it (or pressure wash it) but that's only if it is necessary.

Leave it in. Leave the pressure washer in the garage.
You can actually carefully hose out the carpet while still in the car. Notice the word "carefully" in that statement. First, shop vac the carpet as best you can. Lightly wet down the carpet with a garden hose. Break out a bristle scrub brush and use carpet shampoo that normally you would use in a carpet steam cleaner. Scrub.
Now, fire up the shop vac again, and with the garden hose in hand gently start rinsing while at the same time sucking up the water/suds with the shop vac. Work slowly in small sections.
That will get just about everything out. Take off a battery cable and leave the doors open overnight to dry (in the garage). A fan pointed in the door would be useful as well.
If you have any discolored areas that won't come out, paint them.
I did this process for years running a recon shop. Just really be careful with where you point that hose.

Be very careful with all that water lest you end up with mold. Now that will truly ruin the car. Hose on the outside not the inside. The best are the carpet cleaning machines with the spray and vacuum on a long hose. That with some spray carpet cleaner and scrub brushes used gently so that you don't alter the pile will do it. Do a rise as well with no detergent. Left over soap attacks dirt.
Don't let the water get into any padding underneath.

pull the carpet, I would and do every time it floods and people get water on the floorboards(not to the seats). if you don't any water left behind will stink and the car will smell like mildew . its not hard to do. you can clean and scrub, pressure wash to your hearts desire. then let sit out in the sun to let not only the carpet but the open cell molded form too. I then spray top and bottom liberally with Lysol. if you think that's hard, try doing it with soaking wet carpets
