Hey everyone, so I had the unfortunate incident of having that lil plastic piece break that helps u put ur car in gear ( parked on an incline, tried to get out of park and it popped, still looking for a place to get the metal replacement). But since I took the cover off my center console, the guys that were trying to help get my car into gear kinda mangle the consoles plastic so I'm looking to find a replacement. Any info on a good place to shop for a center console for a 2000 S-Type 4.0 V8?

So I found the metal piece on the website. It looks like it has a little peg on it which you would insert into a hole to set it in place, but looking at mine where the plastic piece is it doesn't look like there's a place to insert it once the plastic piece is removed, or maybe I'm not looking at it rt?? Hmmmmm....I may need to post pics to clarify what I'm saying, or do u know what I'm talking about?

 

A pic of your broken part would ensure that we are all talking about the same thing.

I'm looking for the center console and Jaguar is not manufacturing it any more. They said that some people are re-manufacturing them on fiberglass. Does anyone know where to get one.

Also you can try jaguarparts.com...they have replacement parts for the console..albeit a little pricey.
