Default Climate control has a mind of it's own

Some days my 07 S Type climate control is normal and some days it blows hot air on one side and cold on the other no matter what you do. I found one fellow who re-programs the computer after you take it out and send it to him, jaguarclimatecontrol.com. Has anyone had any experience with this fellow or has had the same problem and knows of other fixes?

Many forum members have dealt with this guy, with no complaints of which I'm aware. However, I don't believe he does any reprogramming. AFAIK, he fixes modules that have burned the circuit board due to a known defect. If the Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV) fails in a certain way, it can overload the circuit board without tripping the fuse. He repairs the circuit board and adds an automatic reset circuit breaker to prevent a repeat. The part that fails is basically just a conductor printed on the face of the board. The electronic bits are typically unaffected.

Have you seen my troubleshooting guide? Trust me, you are not the first person to have such trouble:

Specifically, please work through post #2 to test the DCCV.

How long have you owned your car? You mentioned the problem comes and goes. I'm wondering if a previous owner sent the control module out for repair, and it already has the auto reset circuit breaker. If so, this breaker may be responding properly to an overcurrent caused by a marginally bad DCCV, and is cycling on and off.

By all means check out his thread!

My 03 had issues too. Here is the thread I made and what I did to resolve it. --> https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...r-dash-220296/
