I did not actually end up replacing them (yet). So I cannot confirm this, but since the ones on the car have the Ford logo (and some part numbers on them too) I am pretty certain the LS cat will work.
...Why dont you simply get the Magnaflow Spun Cats for your S type, much cheaper and a lot better in performance. My OEM cats were screwed, so I just put some Magnaflow Spun cats on, and did a complete exhaust mod, runs like a roaring monster, but in your case, you better off replacing the OEm cats with Magnaflows.

I'm not changing them because since I started running Lucas gas Additive with 87 octane gas about 8 months ago I have not had any more codes thrown.

Since the vehicle has 130k on it, I kind of expect the cats to need replacing before too long. But since I am no longer getting the codes, I'm not going to spend the money.

Using the Lucas Fuel treatment and 87 octane fuel is a lot cheaper than 91 octane and I get no codes. So I'm good.

My brake calipers had DEW98 marked on them. That's a dead ringer for Ford, so you can add calipers to the list of Ford Parts. Of course, if you keep your pads changed out, you shouldn't have problems with the calipers, unless you live in the rust belt or the northeast US.

BugDoc I too never had any codes a matter of fact, I started hearing the honeycomb inside flapping around, at 80K, thats when I opted to changed them out, but if you want to keep using lucas gas treatment by all means please do. I suspect whoever owned my STR before they were using 87oct not the premium shiat and thats why the cats got bad. But anyhow you have your options
Cheers!

Your welcome....Just a little hint...Put that in the thread you started about it...

And, did it help? Is it fixed? What was the fix?

All these answers help these threads become logical solutions to other users problems.. A great many times threads just die off with no real conclusion.... Or they drift way off topic...

Finally found the thread. Should be a sticky. Anyways, i had a tie rod go bad on my 04 v6 stype. Apparently jaguar does not sell the inner tie rod so i was told i had to replace the whole rack and pinion unit. Instead used the inner tie rod for a 04 lincoln ls v6 and it fit perfect. Don't have a jag part number (cuz there isn't one?) but the motorcraft part # is MEOE21. I also found out that British Parts aka motorcarsltd has the inner tie rod for the stype but i went with the ford one cuz i needed it right away. Sticky this thread and let's find more substitutions

Thanks. I've asked a mod to add this thread to the FAQ (obviously, may decide against it).

Default Mercon SP/Lifeguard 6/Shell 1375.4

For those looking at changing the transmission fluid in a ZFhp26 automatic transmission, found on Jaguars, Aston Martins, Bentleys, BMWs, Maseratis, and Lincolns, I have a small supply in the UK of Mercon SP, Ford's USA branded Lifeguard 6, sold for Lincoln Navigators. Importing wasn't easy or cheap but the cost is still considerably less than Lifeguard 6 or Jaguar's or Aston Martin's branded Lifeguard 6. I have enought extra for 2 complete ATF changes. Hope helpful.

Hate to burst your bubble but you can use the Land Rover LRN13754 fluid which is exactly the same as the Lifeguard6. My cost in Canada was $14.16 a litre and even cheaper in the US and probably the UK.

After servicing my 6HP26 with six litres my transmission now has no leaks, no lurch and no 1/2 short shift. It now shifts the way it should.

Bubble not burst here, which is Europe. The Land Rover fluid costs up to £25 per liter here.

Default S-Type Vs LS Fuel pump

Can someone confirm that the 2003 Lincoln LS 3.0 and S-type 3.0 fuel pumps are the same? I ask because I need one and the LS pump is half the price. The pictures on Advance auto look very similar.

Thanks!

Can you rebuild the arm? You may be able to find the bushings and replace them.
