Driving my STR back to south wales from Brighton watching the speed trials,
and she started loosing water at a great rate. Thought it was the dreaded under the super charger hose.
luck has it was the top radiator hose split on the holding clip bodged that enough to get her home at a reduced speed ,put new one on and she is back to her best happy again.

 

Good news, but you'd have to worry about the supercharger one now.

 

Yes that will be the next job on the short list. The car is in very good shape so I need to do it sooner rather than later, any advise on procedure will be great thanks.

 

where in south wales, lived in Haverforswest when in military. My exsperience is when one hose goes bad i just start replacing one at a time as budget allows. Or i will accumulate the hoses i need and change them all at the same time. Best of luck

 

Newport south wales, served in Royal Air Force at RAF st Athans 12 years met a girl from Newport got married and just stayed.
I am now going to look at changing the hose under the super charger and any others that need to be done while I am at it. Wish me luck
