Default Correct level for headlights

Hey all I searched and could not find the answer. I don't have self leveling headlights and I need to adjust the level of mine. Does anyone know the specs?

Check California's motor vehicle regulations.

I know that my motorcycle owners manual gave me a specific measurement at 20 feet from a wall to adjust the height of my headlight. I was hoping for something similar here.

There's nothing specific in JTIS because it assumes dealers have headlamp alignment equipment.

This procedure will help you check and set them without any specialised equipment:
