Default Do you REALLY need to change them

In the past I have experienced valve cover gaskets that often got diagnosed as need to change, but only needed fresh tightening of the screws/bolts/nuts.
Specifically this was on (more than one of my) thunderbird SC, 3.8L V6. Over time the gasket shrinks, relaxing the screws, in this case the screws could be spun a few times with my fingers, then a little 1/2 turn torque and no more leaks, worth a try, you will know if this is likely to fix it if you are able to turn the screws once you touch them.

Okay one more question, what is a fair price to replace both the serpentine and supercharger belts at the same time as the valve cover gaskets?

Labor should cost ya nuttin if the tech. is in there anyway. Just pick up the belts: Accessory drive belt is $35 at any autoparts store, supercharger belt is $39 on e-bay.

^^^its 1 hour for serpentine belt change, theres nothing that has to come out for cam cover gaskets and serpentine belts, theres no overlap in labor ops.......oh wait Im sorry, I forgot, the HOOD will already be open, so yeah free works for that then.
I guess the plumber can put a new faucet in the bathroom for next to nothing while he fixes my toilet leak, I meen hell he's already in the bathroom....

LOL! Heck Brutal! I understand we all have to eat...but in these hard economic times a little communism doesn't hurt? You know the..."people for the people" kind of thingy...no? All right already! Ok, listen up here Pushin_Tin. Ya can barter a little with a mechanic to git a few things done under a budget, whilst ensuring him you'll return for more service. Or...yer gunna have to fork over some mulah. My independent Jag tech and I work out a discount if he's going to work on a few things at one sitting. He understands I'm a good loyal customer and his graciousness has caused my referral of other customers. I attribute my success as a doctor to the exact method exercised by my tech and I. Many people can't afford care so I give to them in the form of a discount and some gratis (free). My "givin" has "givin" back to me in spades. I'm certain you'll develop a similar relationship with a mechanic as I have. Be well all.
