Unhappy cruise control not available

My cruise control was working.
I had both front hubs, discs, and calipers/pads replaced. Also the servo and the brake and cruise control pedal switches.
All great on the driving braking front but now the cruise will not work. When you drive off there is no warning light or message just nothing happens when you use the steering wheel controls.then after about 20 miles the yellow warning light comes on with the message "cruise control not available".
I took it back as it needed a new ignition coil on number 3 cylinder and they fitted another cruise pedal switch.
As the faulty coil had triggered a warning light this was put out on the diagnostic machine which then showed no existing faults at all.
Except when i drove off the cruise still does not work as above!
I looked at the pedal switches and noticed the blue one is fully extended and does not touch the brake pedal, about an 3/16th gap.
Any ideas before i take it back again .Could it be the steering wheel control even though it worked fine before?
Any help ideas would be great.
2002 s type 3 litre auto 59000 miles.goes like stink !!

It sounds like you paid to get it repaired??

If so they need to fix your cruise.

I suspect a wheel sensor because of the work done on the front hubs.
