Default DCCV replacement 2005 STR

In searching for how to replace the DCCV on my 2005 STR I came across this Youtube
It is different from other videos and instructions I've seen, no wheel removal, no coolant draining. It looks well done. Comments please.
Thanks

No experience with this valve on 2003+ models, but one detail bothered me. He gave a link to a $36 Chinese part. As much work as it is to replace the DCCV, I would not gamble on a cheap copy.

IIRC, Bosch was the OEM supplier to Jaguar. You don't need to buy the official Jaguar version (same part in a gold-plated box) but I would at least spring for Bosch, Motorcraft, or some other reputable name brand, not Fling Dung or Wok Hoam from China.

Nice find. I like the heater hose disconnect tool he used and the detailed info on the electrical plug. The first time i dealt with one of those i almost gave up and by sheer frustration in jamming a screwdriver around i pulled the cover tab back

I think there should be prison for whoever designed that entire climate system. I don't believe it could have been more poorly designed and Placed.

Can't agree more! The only upside is I'm learning a lot about the vehicle having to research how to do stuff and search corners of the internet to find parts!
